Penang - Prof Dr. Ludwig Georg Braun, Chairman of the Management Board of B. Braun Melsungen AG, receives the Darjah Setia Pangkuan Negeri (DSPN) award from his Excellency, Tun Dato’ Seri Utama (Dr.) Haji Abdul Rahman bin Haji Abbas at a special ceremony held at Seri Mutiara on Wed, 8 October 2009. B. Braun Staff Rallies Help for victims of Typhoon Ondoy Philippines – Tropical storm “Ondoy” wrought heavy damage to the Philippines, in particular Metro Manila and nearby provinces. In its wake, many of them lost their property, livelihood and the security of their homes. After the devastation caused by Typhoon Ondoy, another super typhoon Pepeng created havoc in the central and Northern part of Luzon. Power supply to the affected areas have not been restored and major highways have been closed to traffic and not passable to vehicles due to landslides and road cuts in various parts.
B. Braun employees from around the Asia Pacific region have been quick to respond to the devastation by raising funds among local subsidiaries to help their colleagues in the affected areas. Even as these calamities took a toll on its staff and normal operations, the company, has not lost sight of extending a helping hand to the wider community.
